Apply for the NIRAS Young Professionals Academy

NIRAS International Consulting is looking for talented and highly motivated graduates for their Young Professional Academy (NYPA). Candidates are required to have a Master degree in agriculture, forestry, sustainability, climate change, energy transitions or related fields with passion for pursuing an international career within development consulting.

The NYPA is a fast-track practical training and learning programme running for 18+6 months in which the trainee will acquire a wide range of hands-on technical as well as project management and business acquisition skills. The first 18 months are based in the NIRAS Belgrad office, with opportunities to go on several field assignments in partner countries.

NIRAS International Consulting is an international development consultancy firm, with offices in Africa, Asia, and Europe and expertise in sustainable natural resources management, engineering, infrastructure, green economy, energy, water, agriculture, forestry, governance, land, and rural development. Their clients include Danida, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Sida, KfW and GIZ, SDC, AFD, AusAid, NORAD, the European Commission, The Nordic Development Fund, The African Development Bank, The World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Investment Bank, UN organisations, and national ministries.

Qualifications for the NYPA:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • One year of relevant experience in the context of development cooperation
  • Citizenship of an EU member country
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Highly motivated individuals with dynamic personality and a positive attitude
