SIANI at World Water Week 2012

The 2012 World Water Week will be held under the theme ‘Water and Food Security’ during 26th – 31st August 2012 in Stockholm.  The 21st century farming challenge to feed 9 billion by 2050 will need to address following questions; How much food will be needed?, How and where it will be grown? How will we ensure that the food produced is available and affordable to all? There are enormous opportunities for all stakeholders to manage food and water resources more efficiently in the field and throughout the supply chain and it is this topic that will be explored during the 2012 World Water Week.

SIANI is one of the convening organizations and the following program along with side-event, seminar and study visit has been organized by SIANI’s Agri-San expert group and SIANI’s thematic gender group.
