Being a young farmer what does it entail? by Denis Kabiito, Programmes officer Caritas kasanaensis, Uganda
Presented as part of the "World Food Day 2014: A Spotlight on the Value of Youth in Family Farming" Event.
Swedish FAO committee invites you to celebrate World Food Day with a seminar focusing on youth and family farming. The seminar aims to raise the profile of family farming and to highlight its social, economic, environmental and cultural values specifically with regard to youth.
One of the main recommendations from the SIANI Annual meeting in January 2015 was for SIANI to involve more youth in the discussion around agricultural development, food security and nutrition. This led to the launch of this SIANI Youth – an initiative dedicated to creation and production of agriculture and food security related communication for the youngest members of the SIANI network.
