Ain’t no mountain high enough

“No mountain is too high: our land, our rights, our life.”

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain of Africa. Its name means “Mountain of Greatness” in Tanzania and for to climb it is considered to be an extremely hard task.

Last week, 16 brave African women did it. They reached to the top of Kilimanjaro after a long tiring journey.

You gotta fight… for your right… to food

When the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) reformed in 2009 it identified the promotion of the right to food as one of its goals. This was an important development, as recognizing human rights is fundamental to achieving food security.

Up to 1,000 people from 42 countries – small-scale farmers, fishers, pastoralists, consumers, urban gardeners, indigenous peoples, researchers, agricultural workers, environmentalists, human rights defenders and trade unionists – will converge from all over Europe, for a series of workshops and discussions on how to change the farming and food system.

Den 5 oktober 2016 samlar vi en rad kunniga personer på området för att försöka reda ut vad det är som händer, varför det händer och vilka konsekvenserna kan bli.
