Unlocking the potential of social learning for climate change and food security: Wicked problems and non-traditional solutions

This reports highlights social learning as an essential aspect in dealing with the complexities around climate change and uncertainty in food production. It is not just about adapting to these complexities, it is actually about implementing tranformative changes. This is what CGIAR says on social learning in the report:

• Social learning brings together stakeholders with diverse perspectives to learn together and form a common understanding.
• It works in iterative cycles of action and reflection.
• The iteration can encompass double- and triple-loop learning.
• The result is learning and behavioural change that spread beyond individuals into their households, communities and institutions.
