FAO: 14th International Food Data Conference

The IFDC is a three-day meeting of technical experts, typically held biennially. The meeting is organized by FAO, bringing together the International Network of Food Data Systems (INFOODS), a worldwide network of food composition experts aiming to improve the quality, availability, reliability and use of food composition data. The IFDC is a gathering for the scientific and technical community focused on the production, management and utilization of food composition data. It offers a unique opportunity to exchange and explore advancements in food composition databases, analytical methods, and tools, and to share ongoing activities and success stories with fellow experts.

The event aims to facilitate dialogue among technical experts on addressing critical aspects of food composition data in view of sustainable healthy diets and food systems transformation.

The meeting will bring together approximately 150 delegates from around the world, including students, food scientists and researchers from the public sector, universities, research and development organizations, scientific associations, industry and international agencies.
