This evaluation of SLU’s collaborations with Vietnam was commissioned by SLU Global to increase SLU’s learning from past experiences and to feed into our present and future international collaborations. SLU has been engaged together with Vietnamese actors for more than four decades in a wide range of collaborative programmes and projects and through different modalities and topics.
SLU:s Vice-Chancellor Maria Knutson Wedel will open the seminar followed by a presentation about the evaluation held by Dr. Solveig Freudenthal. A solid panel will then discuss the role of the agricultural and environmental sciences and international collaborations to tackle the current global challenges. An open discussion with all participants will end the seminar.
Vietnam’s Ambassador to Sweden, H.E. Phan Dang Duong and Sweden’s Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Ann Måwe will participate in the seminar, as well as representatives from SLU, and several universities and research institutes in Vietnam.
Moderator: Annika Åhnberg, Honorary Doctor at SLU and former Swedish Minister of Agriculture.
NB. There will be two different online meetings about the SLU – Vietnam collaborations. In addition to the seminar there will be a workshop 1 October. The workshop aims to be more informal with discussions in different thematic groups. Read more about the workshop 1 October here.
