This FAO online educational series (partnering with the the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) is designed to deepen understanding of the human right to adequate food—its meaning, legal foundations, key actors in its realisation, practical implementation, and its critical role in human well-being and sustainable development.
Course structure
The series includes two self-paced courses:
-
Part 1: The human rights-based approach
This course introduces essential concepts, including the international human rights framework and the human rights-based approach, which are fundamental to understanding the right to food. -
Part 2: The human right to adequate food
This course explores the right to adequate food, the roles and responsibilities of key actors, and the Right to Food Guidelines.
Each course concludes with a final test, and successful participants receive a digital badge certificate.
Learners have the flexibility to complete the full series for a comprehensive understanding or take individual courses based on their interests. However, completing the full series is recommended for a holistic grasp of the subject.
