Springer Nature Book

Join the invitation chapter contributions for an upcoming Springer Nature book publication titled: Climate Change, Extreme Climate Events, Loss, and Damage in Africa. This book seeks to provide empirical insights and practical solutions to how extreme climate events are shaping the African landscape and communities.

Africa is facing severe climate change impacts, including droughts, floods, and heat waves, which threaten food systems, livelihoods, ecosystems, and socio-economic stability. The book discusses the economic and non-economic losses and damages from extreme climate events.

Accepted chapters will be published in a globally distributed and indexed Springer Nature book. Each corresponding author will receive a complimentary e-copy, and the book will be indexed in Scopus and other major research databases.

Important Dates: Submission period opens November 1, 2024 and closes March 31, 2025. A rigorous double-blind peer review will follow, concluding by May 31, 2025. The book is scheduled for release by July 30, 2025.
