Peter Roberntz focused on small-scale farmers and land productivity in relation to bioenergy land investment. Issues of interest to be discussed are;

  • African farmers as a resource, incl traditional knowledge
  • The need of village land use maps & tenure
  • Support, also financial, and capacity building of African farmers
  • Empowering, e.g. establishment of farmers associations
  • Identification and up scaling of successful models, e.g. integrated models such as Agro-Forestry, out-grower models etc. What works where?
  • Support market access
