The UN Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, from 2015 are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.
They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
The purpose of this seminar is to share scientific insights in order to shed light on and discuss how to integrate measures regarding climate change mitigation and adaptation, preservation of biodiversity and food security. The purpose is also to discuss if there are differences at international, regional, and local level which need to be considered when developing national measures. Welcome!
