Peter Roberntz focused on small-scale farmers and land productivity in relation to bioenergy land investment. Issues of interest to be discussed are;
- African farmers as a resource, incl traditional knowledge
- The need of village land use maps & tenure
- Support, also financial, and capacity building of African farmers
- Empowering, e.g. establishment of farmers associations
- Identification and up scaling of successful models, e.g. integrated models such as Agro-Forestry, out-grower models etc. What works where?
- Support market access
