SLU has signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the CGIAR research programme Livestock and Fish.
SLU is the first university to sign such an agreement with this programme and under the upcoming period of two years SLU will contribute with expertise in the area of heard health but also investigate the possibilities of deepening the cooperation in the areas of animal genetics and feed and forage (plant material eaten by grazing livestock).
The agreement between SLU and International Institute of Livestock Research (ILRI) was signed by SLU:s Vice-Chancellor Lisa Sennerby Forsse on 23 June. ILRI is a a member of the CGIAR Consortium which works for a food-secure future.
Professor Ulf Magnusson at the Department of Clinical Sciences is the focal point for this cooperation at SLU. Ulf Magnusson is also one of the theme leaders of SLU Global.
