IFC Food Loss and Waste Management Training of Trainers (TOT)

IFC’s Food Loss and Waste (FLW) Management TOT Training is an opportunity for Food Loss and Waste experts who may be involved in future IFC FLW advisory services to existing and potential IFC clients from the food industry, learn the key elements of FLW and ways to take action in this interactive workshop.

The recently launched training is applicable to all companies within the food sector – including those starting to address FLW or already working to improve their practices. It is designed to help food businesses establish and professionally maintain a robust FLW management system.

The training will provide:

  • Tools to improve global food security, while enhancing businesses through cost savings.
  • Practical aspects for implementation of FLW management.
  • Reduction practices as it elaborates on The Food Loss and Waste Accounting and
  • Reporting Standard (The FLW Standard), the most widely used system to quantify and report FLW.
